The Round Rock Public Library System is receiving a $25,000 grant, funded through the CARES Act.
The money was awarded to help the library system continue service during the COVID-19 crisis. The funds will help with financial support for contactless and curbside services.
Rep. John Carter (R-Texas) called the Round Rock Public Library "indispensable."
“I want to congratulate Round Rock Public Library for earning a $25,000 grant appropriated in the CARES Act,” Carter said. “With schools and many normal activities closed for the last several months, the library is continuing to support learning and entertainment for Round Rock residents. As an avid reader myself, the resources the Round Rock Public Library provides for families are indispensable, and it’s always nice to see Texans’ hard-earned tax dollars return locally for the betterment of our community.”
