RP Construction Services will conclude construction on the Pflugerville solar project in 2021.
This bodes well for the project, which is on schedule. The project, when complete, will span almost 950 acres and will create more than 350 jobs. The construction and planning of the project have included many local businesses that have been enlisted to help.
“We’re happy to be bringing in local labor to help us build this great project," RP Construction Services chief sales officer Alex Smith said. "For decades, people who live nearby will be able to tell their friends and neighbors about how they helped make this project so successful. Thanks to all the great teams involved.”
Once the plant is finished, it is expected to have the capability to power 27,000 residential homes. It will help deliver low-cost energy to residents and bring stimulus to the local economy.
