The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects involved in a Robbery by Assault that took place at a 7-Eleven on Menchaca Road. The incident occurred on November 19, 2023, at approximately 5:33 p.m.
According to the preliminary investigation, the robbery unfolded when one of the suspects entered the store and began stealing merchandise. Meanwhile, the second suspect remained outside. The female clerk bravely confronted the first suspect as he attempted to leave with the stolen property. Unfortunately, the suspect responded by attacking her before fleeing the scene on foot with his accomplice.
The Austin Police Department has provided descriptions of the suspects to aid in their identification. Suspect #1 is described as a black male in his early 20s, standing between 5'4" and 5'5" tall, with a medium build and long, curly hair. He was last seen wearing a green jacket and a light-colored undershirt.
Suspect #2, also a black male, is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, standing between 5'8" and 6'0" tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt over a red long sleeve shirt, with a bright colored hoodie underneath.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the incident to come forward.
