Representative John Carter (TX-31) has secured $15 million in community project funding for the City of Temple. The funds, which are intended to assist with capacity improvements to I-35 and I-14, were secured in the most recent Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Appropriations legislation.

"This corridor is experiencing consistent growth that we expect to increase as people continue to move to Bell and surrounding counties," said Representative Carter. "The infrastructure needs to match the needs of the population now and in the future. This funding will improve freight movement, Ft. Cavazos mobility, and resident travel to improve quality of life and continue Temple on the path of growth. Thank you to Mayor Davis and his team for being outstanding community partners and advocates for Temple."

City of Temple Mayor Tim Davis expressed his gratitude towards Representative Carter for securing these federal funds. "We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Representative Carter for securing $15,000,000 in federal funds. This investment will not only enhance our infrastructure but also drive economic growth, improve safety, and further solidify Temple as a thriving hub for our residents and businesses," he said. "This investment underscores our shared commitment to enhancing infrastructure and fostering prosperity in our vibrant city."
