Austin police locate missing child safely

The Austin Police Department has announced that Aaron Camacho, an eight-year-old boy who was reported missing, has been found safe. The child had been last seen on the night of October 3, 2024, leaving his home on foot from the 400 block of E Wonsley.

Authorities began their investigation after receiving a report at 12:02 a.m. on October 4, 2024. At the time of his disappearance, Aaron was described as a Hispanic male with dark brown hair styled in a bowl cut and brown eyes. He stands approximately four feet tall and weighs about 56 pounds. He was last seen wearing a beige shirt with a maroon stripe and shorts and may not have been wearing shoes.

The police urged anyone with information to contact emergency services immediately by calling 9-1-1 during the search for Aaron.
