The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department is calling on young artists from the Austin area to take part in the Annual Zilker Tree Art Contest. This event invites children aged 5 to 10 years old to compete for a chance to help illuminate the Zilker Tree.
Each year, participants submit their artwork with hopes of being among the top three winners in each age category: Junior and Senior. The winners will receive public recognition during the tree lighting ceremony scheduled for Sunday, December 1, 2024.
Artwork submissions can be made either by mail or online. Mailed entries should be sent to Austin Parks and Recreation Department at 200 South Lamar Blvd., and must include an entry form.
