The City of Austin's Capital Delivery Services (CDS) is set to host its second "Building Austin" event, focusing on infrastructure projects in Southeast Austin. Scheduled for November 7, 2024, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the event will take place at the Dove Springs Public Health Facility located at 5811 Palo Blanco Lane. The session aims to provide updates on five key projects that address safety, mobility, and public health concerns.

Participants will have a chance to hear brief presentations about each project and engage directly with project teams during an open house session. The event will also be accessible online via Zoom. CDS has assured that community members will receive follow-up responses from project teams after the event.

CDS oversees over $10 billion in construction projects designed to meet Austin's growing needs. These include mobility enhancements, public health facilities, flood risk reduction, and essential city infrastructure upgrades. The "Building Austin" series is part of an effort to engage the community and facilitate dialogue about these initiatives and their benefits for residents.

The event is open to all residents who are encouraged to attend, interact with city staff, and learn about ongoing efforts to advance Austin's infrastructure.
