Austin police seek public assistance in aggravated robbery case

The Austin Police Department's Robbery Unit is seeking the public's help in identifying suspects involved in an aggravated robbery at Shoppers Mart on December 28, 2024. The incident occurred between 6:30 and 7 a.m. at the store located at 1901 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

According to the police, the suspects entered the store aggressively, threatened employees with handguns, and took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene.

Authorities have released descriptions and photos of the suspects. Anyone with information is urged to contact APD's Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
