The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect involved in a mail theft incident. The event took place at 308 ½ West Avenue on Thursday, January 23, 2025, around 2:03 p.m.

According to the APD, the suspect stole parcel mail from the front door of an apartment complex resident. The theft was recorded by the resident's doorbell camera. Although a female was present with the suspect during the incident, she did not appear to participate in the theft. However, authorities believe that identifying her could help lead to identifying the male suspect.

The police have provided photos and descriptions of both individuals but are particularly focused on finding information about the male suspect.

Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program. Tips can be submitted online at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
