The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking help from the public to identify a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery. The incident took place on January 31, 2025, at around 6:46 p.m. in the 1500 block of East Anderson Lane.

According to the APD Robbery Unit, a victim reported that his property was stolen from his vehicle. He tracked his belongings to the location where he found both the suspect and the suspect's vehicle. In an attempt to prevent the suspect from escaping, the victim used his own vehicle to block the suspect's car. The suspect then used their vehicle as a weapon, hitting the victim’s car multiple times before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The APD has released a photo and description of the suspect and urges anyone with information to come forward. "Anyone with any information should contact APD's Robbery unit at 512-974-5092," reads their statement. Additionally, tips can be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program via their website or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
