APD seeks public help to identify suspect in robbery at La Finca Supermercado

The Austin Police Department (APD) is calling on the public to help identify a suspect in an aggravated robbery incident. The event took place at La Finca Supermercado on 9616 North Lamar Boulevard on Sunday, March 16, 2025, around 2:08 p.m.

According to the APD, the suspect, whose details have been provided by the police, brandished a knife at an employee and demanded money in Spanish before fleeing into a wooded area nearby.

Authorities have provided a description of the suspect and what they were last seen wearing.

The APD urges anyone with information regarding the suspect to reach out to the Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Additionally, anonymous tips can be submitted through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program via their website or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
