Texas Representative Michael McCaul, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2005, posted several tweets highlighting current events and issues of concern. Born in Dallas in 1962, McCaul lives in Austin and holds degrees from Trinity University and St. Mary's University, Texas.

On April 7, 2025, McCaul tweeted, "Welcome to Aggieland, Coach Bucky!" without further context or details on the individual being referenced as Coach Bucky.

In a tweet dated April 9, 2025, McCaul focused on international relations, particularly emphasizing the relationship between China, Russia, and North Korea. He mentioned, "Just last week, China’s foreign minister told Russia their nations are 'friends forever.' Admiral Paparo is right: China, Russia, & North Korea are all working together. Their nefarious relationship—or the unholy alliance, as I call it—must be met with US strength & deterrence."

On the same day, McCaul addressed the issue of drug trafficking across U.S. borders. He stated, "For too long, cartels have exploited weak border policies, flooding our nation with narcotics that threaten Americans' health & safety. Under the Trump admin, the U.S. will not tolerate illegal drug trafficking. Thank you, @FBI and @USCG, for your work to protect American lives!" The tweet acknowledges law enforcement agencies' efforts to combat drug trafficking.

Michael McCaul, who succeeded Lloyd Doggett, has actively used social media to communicate his stance on various issues affecting national security and public safety.
