APD Detectives Search for a Woman in Connection to a Robbery

The Austin Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a robbery at a Target store on FM 2222 Road. The incident took place on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at approximately 1:54 p.m.

According to the police report, the suspect entered the Target store and proceeded to steal several items. However, the victim managed to retrieve one bag containing the stolen items from the suspect. The situation escalated when the suspect forcefully entered the Loss Prevention Office and attacked the victim, ultimately taking the stolen merchandise with her. The suspect then made her escape in a red Jeep Renegade.

The suspect is described as a white female, approximately 30 years old, standing at 5' 6" tall, with a heavy build and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt and gray sweatpants. The suspect vehicle is a red Jeep Renegade of recent make, with its license plate concealed by paper.

APD's Robbery Unit urges anyone with information about this incident or the suspect's whereabouts to come forward. Detective John Doe stated, "We are actively investigating this case and are relying on the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. If you have any information, please contact our Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092."

Additionally, individuals can choose to submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program. By visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477, anyone can provide information that may lead to an arrest. It is important to note that a reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that proves valuable in apprehending the suspect.
