Motorcycle accident claims life of Ronny Perez in Austin

In the early hours of November 2, 2024, a fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Austin. The incident took place at approximately 3:38 a.m. in the 600 Block of E Anderson Ln SVRD WB. The victim has been identified as Ronny Perez, a white male born on October 2, 2006.

Officers from the Austin Police Department (APD) responded to the scene where they found that the driver of the motorcycle had died. This marks Austin's 74th fatal crash for the year, with a total of 79 fatalities so far in 2024. Comparatively, by this date in 2023, there were also 76 fatal crashes resulting in 79 deaths.

The APD has stated that "these statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending." They have noted that "fatality information may change" as further details emerge.
