Austin police seek public help in food truck trailer theft case

The Austin Police Department (APD) Auto Theft Unit is seeking help from the public to identify two suspects linked to the theft of a food truck trailer. This incident took place on Thursday, December 26, 2024, in the 3400 block of Comsouth Drive.

The suspect vehicle was used to latch onto and haul away the food truck trailer.

The APD has provided photos of the stolen food truck trailer and is encouraging anyone with information to reach out. Individuals can contact APD's Auto Theft unit at (512) 974-5265. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
