The City of Austin Economic Development Department is set to host the 2025 Small Business Fundamentals Week from January 27-30. This initiative provides business owners with the chance to attend free classes focusing on essential areas such as marketing and bookkeeping.

"Small businesses are the heart of Austin's economy and culture. Small Business Fundamentals Week underscores our commitment to helping aspiring and tenured entrepreneurs build a strong foundation for sustainable success,” said Anthony Segura, Interim Director of the Economic Development Department. “These no-cost classes are more than training—they’re a launchpad for ideas, innovation, and growth.”

Classes will be held in person at the department's facility located at 5202 East Ben White Boulevard, Suite 300. If classes reach full capacity, registrants will be placed on a waiting list.

The Small Business Division aims to empower entrepreneurs through diverse business training, educational events, and coaching. Their mission includes fostering job creation and supporting both new and existing businesses by providing necessary information, tools, and resources.

Space is limited; interested participants are encouraged to register soon. More information can be found at SmallBizAustin.org.
