APD seeks public help in identifying Family Dollar robbery suspect

The Austin Police Department's Robbery Unit is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery at the Family Dollar store located at 3851 Airport Boulevard. The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at approximately 11:05 a.m.

According to the police report, the suspect entered the store and attempted to steal a barcode scanner and a beverage. An employee confronted the suspect and was subsequently assaulted during the altercation.

Authorities have provided a description and photos of the suspect in hopes of garnering information from the public.

Individuals with any information regarding this case are urged to contact APD's Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
