The City of Austin is seeking public input on its Draft FY24 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), which reviews the performance of federally funded programs. The report covers the fiscal year from October 1, 2023, to September 30, 2024. During this period, Austin received approximately $14 million in federal grants through four programs administered by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).

Residents can provide feedback during a public comment period that runs from November 18 to December 4. The CAPER assesses the effectiveness of these programs as outlined in the FY24 Action Plan and their alignment with strategies and objectives detailed in the City's five-year Consolidated Plan for FY 2019-24.

Feedback can be submitted online at www.SpeakUpAustin.org/CAPER24 or in writing until December 4 at 5 p.m. The city will compile comments and submit the final report to HUD by December 29, 2024.

"The City of Austin is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act," states an official release. "Reasonable modifications and equal access to communications will be provided upon request."

For assistance or more information, residents can contact the Housing Department at 512-974-3100 or use Relay Texas at 711 for TTY users.
