As Thanksgiving approaches, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is offering guidance to travelers to ensure a smooth experience. The airport advises checking real-time traffic updates on DriveTexas.org before heading out, as roads can become congested. CapMetro’s Route 20 provides an alternative mode of transportation to the terminal.

Travelers should be aware of intermittent closures at the Rental Car Lane on-ramp and the Cell Phone Lot southwest exit. For parking, it is recommended to reserve a spot early via ABIAParking.com or by calling (512) 530-3300.

To facilitate a smoother security process, AUS has three TSA checkpoints available for passengers. Travelers are encouraged to check with their airlines for any flight updates and utilize AUS's accessibility services if needed.

For those flying with Allegiant or Frontier Airlines, it's important to note that these flights operate from the South Terminal at 10000 Logistics Lane, separate from the main Barbara Jordan Terminal. Shuttle service is available, though on-site parking is advised.

AUS also highlights ongoing construction projects under its Journey With AUS improvement initiative. Travelers can stay updated through social media or by visiting AUS Construction Updates online.

The airport expresses gratitude for assisting travelers during this holiday season and encourages sharing travel experiences on social media.
