APD seeks help identifying suspect in hit-and-run incident

APD Highway Enforcement Unit Detectives are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in a "Failure to Stop and Render Aid" incident. The collision occurred on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at approximately 8:33 p.m., near Meadowheath Drive and Hymeadow Drive. It involved a pickup truck and a pedestrian who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver fled the scene without notifying emergency services.

Authorities urge anyone with information about this case to contact the Highway Investigation Tip Line at 512-974-8111. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
