Michael McCaul shares views on Pope Francis' health and NATO visit

Michael McCaul, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 10th district since 2005, shared his thoughts on various matters through social media posts on February 19, 2025. Born in Dallas and currently residing in Austin, McCaul has a background in law with degrees from Trinity University and St. Mary's University.

On February 19, 2025, McCaul expressed his support for Pope Francis' recovery by stating "Encouraged to hear Pope Francis’ condition is stable and improving. I continue to pray he would experience God's strength and peace throughout his recovery."

Later that day, McCaul reported on his involvement with a Congressional delegation visiting NATO headquarters in Brussels. He emphasized the importance of defense spending among allies by saying "Proud to be part of a Congressional delegation visiting NATO headquarters in Brussels to meet with our allies and discuss importance of boosting their defense spending. In an increasingly dangerous world, America's allies must continue stepping up to the plate to counter our…"

In another post commemorating historical military valor, McCaul honored the service members who fought in World War II's Battle of Iwo Jima. He stated "Today, we honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Marines and sailors who fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima 80 years ago. Their courage in one of WWII’s fiercest battles secured victory and symbolized the unbreakable spirit of the U.S. military."
